The Excellence in Research Coordination Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and sustained excellence in coordinating research projects.
Eligibility
- Must have served in a research coordination or project management role for at least 6 months, preferably in a compensated position.
- Titles may vary (e.g., Project Manager, Clinical Research Professional, Research Assistant, Research Associate, Lab Manager), but nominees must play a central role in ensuring projects are well organized, effectively managed, and successfully executed.
- Exhibits initiative, leadership, and reliability that contribute to research productivity and team success.
- Undergraduate or graduate students RAs and short-term volunteers are not eligible.

Nomination Process
Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis and should be submitted by supervising faculty or staff affiliates via email to CHB@syr.edu (with “Excellence in Research Coordination Award” in the subject line).
Each nomination must include:
- A brief (150-300 word) description of the nominee’s role and contributions
- Confirmation of service duration
