CHB/IVMF SU + VA Collaboration Pilot Grant Program

Overview
Supports new or expanded Syracuse University and VA collaborations that generate preliminary data for external grant submissions focused on Veterans’ health, behavioral health, resilience, and well-being. Projects may also include work relevant to service members and military-connected families as appropriate.

Award amount and anticipated distribution
Each individual pilot grant award will range from $500 to $10,000 in direct costs. Approximately 4 to 12 pilot grants will be supported from a $30,000 pool. Up to two grants may be up to $10,000 each. The remaining funds will support grants in the $1,000 to $5,000 range. The total number and size of pilot grants awarded will depend on merit, need, and available funds. CHB may award less than requested based on review and available funds.
